Ten years ago, I was sitting down Barry Farms watching the games as usual with the Forest Creek homies. Watching the games reminded me of when we used to hoop outside as kids. It didn’t matter if we played in the gym or played outside. We just played. Sometimes we didn’t even have a court, so we played on the monkey bars at the playground (Imperial Park Apartments). I knew that playing streetball would help our kids continue to play tough, but more importantly play smart in a tough environment. So me and Miles Rawls talked after the games that day, and he agreed it was a great idea to start a league. He coined it ” The Junior Goodman League” and the rest as they say was HISTORY!
